Controlling Perspective in Photography In-Person / Online
Join Jim Griggs and the Fourth Tuesday Photography Club for "Controlling Perspective in Photography," June 24 at 7 p.m.
Controlling perspective in photography lets you go from flat, static images to dynamic compositions that convey depth, scale, and a sense of place. It's a key method used every day, by all professionals. It isn’t that hard to understand but does take a small amount of practice to make it part of your routine.
This is a hybrid program: Click here to sign up for the Zoom Webinar, or attend in person at Newton Public Library, 223 E. 7th, Newton, KS. Jim will be with us in person.
Jim Griggs is a retired semi-professional photographer based out of McPherson, Kansas. His photography has been featured in numerous publications, websites, books, newspapers and other venues. He prides himself on making the mundane exciting and bringing awareness to the natural world and the pressures it is under from development. He has been an instructor at Wilderness Photography Workshop since 1985 and currently teaches at an annual, week-long event in Wyoming. He also leads photo outings to his favorite place in Kansas, Maxwell Wildlife Refuge, and has led photographic trips overseas to Tanzania, the Galapagos Islands and Peru.
